The most precise injection medicine we offer.
Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy — PIT — combines two powerful tools: the targeted physiological effect of injectable nutrients, homeopathics, or anti-inflammatories, and the point-specific signaling of acupuncture. Injecting these substances directly into acupuncture points produces effects that are often faster, longer-lasting, and more potent than standard intramuscular delivery.
This is one of our most-requested specialty services for a reason.
What it actually is
Tiny volumes of sterile substance — B12, lidocaine, anti-inflammatory homeopathics, dextrose, or other targeted compounds — injected with a hair-thin needle directly into a chosen acupuncture point. The combined effect of the substance plus the point produces a coordinated response: the chemistry does its job, and the point amplifies the signal.
It's a small injection. Most people are surprised by how little they feel.
What we use it for
- Acute and chronic pain — back, neck, joints, nerve, headaches
- Inflammation in specific joints or soft tissue
- Trigger point release in muscles that won't let go
- Energy support, stress recovery, immune function
- Post-surgical or post-injury healing
- Conditions that haven't fully responded to needle-only acupuncture
What to expect
PIT is usually added to a regular acupuncture session rather than booked alone. Your provider determines whether PIT is a good fit based on your case and which substance and points are appropriate. The injection itself takes seconds. You may feel a brief sting and a moment of pressure or warmth at the point.
Effects are often immediate — especially for pain — though full benefit builds over the following days as the substance and the point continue to work.
Substances we use
Everything we inject is sterile, sourced from licensed compounding pharmacies, and chosen for safety and clinical evidence. We don't inject anything we wouldn't accept ourselves.
